Two states. One product.

W.01 · Almost entirely textual

A multi-platform web app is a decision about rules, not about screens.

When an organisation asks for the same application on every device, the useful work is to lock the rules first: who can see a record, what a status means, which actions are allowed offline, which must wait for a server. OFFLIST LIMITED builds that as custom web software — a responsive application with one data model — so the phone in a corridor and the desktop in an office are two views of the same system, not two products that drift.

W.02 · Type + strip

Operational software that replaced a trail of tools

A typical brief: staff moving work between spreadsheets, inboxes and a system that was never meant to meet either. The delivered result is a custom web application that holds the operational flow — intake, assignment, record, export — with permissions that match how the organisation actually works.

We do not publish client names here. The pattern is the work: custom web applications for operations that generic software keeps fragmenting.

W.03 · Split visual state

Cloud-based systems planned for change

Before: an application that runs, just, on a machine nobody wants to touch. Reframed: a cloud-based web app with a documented environment, backups, and an architecture that can take more users without a ceremonial rebuild. Scalable web solutions, in practice, are this kind of unglamorous clarity.

Responsive public applications

Requirement

A public web application that must remain usable on a small phone and a wide desktop, including forms that people actually complete.

Outcome

Responsive web applications composed for those states from the start — not a desktop layout later squeezed.
